Damon® Brackets

Damon® braces were invented by Dr. Dwight Damon. The Damon® bracket utilizes (sliding-door) technology known as “self-ligation” that allows the wire to slide back and forth within the bracket.

No elastic or steel ties are used with Damon® brackets. This technology creates less friction and results in greater comfort for the patient. In addition, Damon® braces often reduce both treatment time and the number of adjustments that are usually performed.

Damon – Metal

Metal braces are the most common type. They are made of high-grade stainless steel. Today’s metal braces are smaller, more comfortable and more attractive.

Damon Clear

Ceramic braces are made of translucent (clear) material. They are most popular with adult patients, due to their cosmetic appeal.

Invisalign®

The Invisalign System is a series of clear overlay templates—called aligners—that have been generated by computer simulation to gradually move the teeth. This system is available to adult patients with certain orthodontic bite problems. Ask us if you are a candidate for the Invisalign system.

Invisalign Teen’s™

Clear aligners are virtually invisible. You can always feel confident showing your smile, even while you’re wearing your aligners to straighten your teeth. No need to feel self conscious about attending prom, taking school photos, or any other day-to-day activity. Invisalign Teen aligners are custom built for you. It generally works without anyone else knowing you are in treatment.

The Damon® System

Is a new clinically proven treatment approach that aligns your teeth and enhances your facial aesthetics usually without extractions or rapid palatal expanders. It uses passive self-ligating  brackets that eliminate the need for elastic or metal “ties” and the high technology wires that move teeth faster and require fewer adjustments.

With the Damon System we can treat most cases without extractions. No one likes to have teeth removed, and a smile with a full display of teeth often produces a broader, natural smile and a more youthful profile.

The days of having braces tightened are over. Damon System braces have a unique slide mechanism that reduces pressure on your teeth and allows them to move more comfortably to their correct positions. This revolutionary new approach to orthodontics ensures greater comfort throughout treatment.

Upper Retainer

There are two kinds of upper retainers. The traditional retainer that has colored acrylic in the roof of your mouth and a wire in front of your teeth is called a Hawley retainer. This retainer is to be worn all day and all night. Take it out only to eat and brush your teeth and then put it back in. To clean this retainer you will need to brush it when you brush your teeth. Just like your teeth, your retainer may start to  accumulate a tartar buildup.
